[Plugin: HL Twitter] Can a headline be auto truncated?

Hi,

We typically use long headlines, but we would like to auto-truncate the headline and use that?

Any suggestions anyone has in this area. Yes, we want to keep our long blog headlines, but we also want this to work well. Any ideas?
