[Plugin: .html on PAGES] Excluding a Page

I am running into the same situation on a clients site. Did anyone ever find a solution for this?

Thanks J, I am still a little confused though.

I added the custom permalinks plugin and used it to change blog.html blog/. The result is all of my blog posts behave as archive pages (i.e. they show a loop of the recent posts.)

Did you disable the .html plugin and create slug.html permalinks for all of your pages? Or did you find a way to get it playing nicely with the .html on pages plugin?

Hey-

You no longer need .html on pages. Disable that plugin. Just use the custom permalinks plugin. You have to set the url for each page or post individually. You can control the default setting for your entire site with the wordpress permalink settings (Settings>Permalink) but you will have to add the .html manually to any specific posts or pages that you want it for.

As the developer put it: “This plugin is not a replacement for the inbuilt permalink settings: Custom Permalinks is designed to modify permalinks on a per-post/page/tag/category basis, not for all posts/etc at once. If you wish to alter your entire site structure, spare your sanity, and change the WordPress permalink settings instead.”

If its still not happening right then don’t hesitate with more questions. I’m not really a pro but I know how it can be and I did manage to get my old html site into wordpress with all the urls the way I needed them. Good luck.
