[Plugin: Hyper Cache] Confused on install

I just recently installed hyper cache on one of my sites and I’m not sure if I understand the directions, it appears to have been installed and activated but also in the directions it says something about modifying the wp-config.php file.

Do you have to do this always? I’m afraid i’ll modify it wrong and cause it big problem.
