• Hi,

In my error log, I noticed these lines…

[13-Aug-2010 00:05:13] PHP Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /my/domain/root/wp-content/plugins/idrive-for-wordpress/php/class_webdav_client.php on line 200
[13-Aug-2010 00:05:13] PHP Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to :80 (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) in /my/domain/root/wp-content/plugins/idrive-for-wordpress/php/class_webdav_client.php on line 200

Checking the IDrive settings I see I’m no longer logged in to my IDrive account from there and the logs show for the last few days lines like

Fri, 13 Aug 10 00:03:00 +0000	Server connect error Failed

I suppose that explains the empty getaddress… So that’s not really the question here. But I have noticed before that sometimes I am no longer logged in to IDrive and no more backups take place.

What could be causing these logouts? Any way to prevent them or at least get noticed about it on (for example) the Dashboard screen or as a Admin Notice in WordPress? Even better would be to (optionally) receive an e-mail on errors even when normal e-mail notification is switched off.

    Thanks! ??

    RavanH,

The plugin will not log off on its own. It will log off if manually or if the plugin is deactivate/activated. The above error will not cause the plugin to be deactivated either. Can you check idrive logs to see if the plugin was recently activated before you login.

Ok… No, what I was suggesting was the error was caused BY the plugin being logged of (not the other way around) …

Just before the failed backups in the log, I do indeed see this entry:
Tue, 10 Aug 10 22:45:20 +0000 IDrive plugin for WordPress activated succesfully. but I have not actively switched the plugin off and on again…Could it have been an upgrade (don’t remember if there was one around that time) procedure where the plugin gets switched off/on ?

Anyway, during my look in the IDrive logs, I notice that there seems to be no discrimination between backups that have failed completely and backups where some files were excluded for some reason but when opening the full log text it shows NO errors and even ends with “Successful” except maybe that listing of files that where excluded. A bit confusing ??

    RavanH,

The activation log should be due to upgrade.

    Log will contain following entries:

    1. Excluded files. This will be there every time backup initiates, even if no new file got backed up.
    2. Failed files. Entries for these files which failed to backup will come up every time till they are successfully backed up.
    3. New/changed files.

Logs are demarcating files which are being excluded and file which are being considered for backup. Successfully transfered files have OK after the filename and filed ones have FAILED. We can improve the logs if you can clarify the confusing part.
