  • The wrapper option has been changed to only display what is available to you depending on your WordPress and server settings in version 1.2.7. The problem stems from the fact that you need to set your permissions each time you upgrade to write to the wrapper files.

Many users who did not understand this concept were stuck without an option to wrap. So we had to make a copy and paste method available. So in 1.2.7 the plugin detects the tags. If they are present then the copy and paste method is shown. If the file permissions are set correctly on the wrapper folder and files then the plugin will show the ‘live’ wrap option.

With so many server setups and wordpress setups it’s hard to determine a solution for each client, so we had to do the best we could, and make avaliable what the settings would allow.

WordPress can’t let any plugin write to files, that would be a security problem. So you have to manually ftp into your server and set them up each time.

If you would like more information on how to properly set up your permissions then please look at this article:

    https://www.idxbroker.com/support/kb/questions/292/

We have concluded that file permissions on the entire folder structure leading up to the wrapper files must be set to 0777 in order for the live wrapper option to function correctly.

Please review this article regarding the new real-time WordPress URL synchronization functionality built into IDX Broker.

Note that you may still use the include files, or the copy-and-paste method when integrating design. Yet the URL method described in the article above is the preferred method. This is because when we cURL the page we are able to extract the header and footer without forcing a save to your local WordPress folder. You simply need to place the header and footer tags correctly within the HTML of your WordPress Theme.
