[Plugin: IGIT Related Posts With Thumb Image After Posts] WordPress Multisite photos not working

This plugin looks awesome, but it currently doesn’t work with wordpress multisite.

The problem seems to be related to photo paths being redirected in multisite, which isn’t picked up correctly by Tim Thumb. For more info, I found this: https://www.binarymoon.co.uk/2009/10/timthumb-wordpress-mu/

Anybody have any ideas on how to get this plugin to work correctly on multisite?
