Downloaded the Plugin to auto add captions/descriptions too all of the images on the site. Understood how it would run and thought nothing of it. Set the Filter Settings, that hyphen’s would be ignored (i.e. unticked). However with either setting, they were deleted and a space left in its place which breaks the term and seperates it into 3 sets of number/letters. Would not have been such a problem if the hyphens were replaced with no space. But this is a problem. Unforuntatly its affected about 1000 images. Can re-instate backup; but what nightmare.

    Hello @caineuk

Thanks for checking out my plugin. Sorry to hear about what happened, but it seems you missed the warning message right above the bulk updater.

    It says:

IMPORTANT: Please backup your database before running the bulk updater.

If your image is named a-lot-like_love.jpg, your Image Title, Caption, Description and Alt Text will be: a lot like love. Upgrade to Pro for more options.

The filter settings are for new image uploads and the free version doesn’t have any options for the bulk updater.

There is also a “Test Bulk Updater” button to see the result on a single image before you update everything in bulk. Wish you had tried that first.

Glad you had the backup! Best regards.

    Hello Arun,

Thanks for getting back to me. But nothing stated that the filter settings were not active in the Free version. The description that you have highlighted does not make that clear at all.

Least I now know. Will roll back.

    Regards
