Plugin ignores "Get this number of posts" setting in "Getting posts"

    Using version 3.8 of Posts in Sidebar, I’ve set the “Get this number of posts” setting in the “Getting posts” section of the plugin to 5. Additionally, I have set the “When on single posts, get this number of posts” setting in the “Change the query when on single posts” section to 4.

    The plugin ignores the “Getting posts” setting and displays 7 posts instead. It does obey the “Change the query when on single posts” setting.

    How do I correct the behavior so the “Getting posts” setting is obeyed?

    I have verified that the plugin settings are the same in the Customizer and on the Widgets page.

    Sorry, but I’m working under localhost, so no site URL to provide.

    No problem here with these settings. All works as expected.

    If you’re on a localhost environment, try the plugin in a test WordPress installation, using only one of the standard themes and no plugins except Posts in Sidebar. Then, let me know if the plugin works as expected.
