    Sorry, just a bit more info I forgot to add to the original post.

    The error message I get is “No user was successfully imported, please check the error log.” I then check the error log and it is blank.

    I have now solved this! Yeay!

    I am working on a mac and in order for the csv to be recognised I had to save the csv from Excel as Windows Comma Separated (.csv) it is about 3/4 of the way down the save options.

    There is a still a small problem in that during import it throws a 500: Internal Server Error and I have to start import again to get the rest of the users in. Why would this be happening?

    Hi chloegeorge,

    That error is likely due to the plugin running out of memory during the import due to the php memory limit on your server. It won’t affect the import though and if you try again it will not duplicate the users but only import the rest (as you noticed).

    I wanted to implement a cleaner way to handle that but haven’t had the time yet (it’s low priority since there’s no data lost or any damage to your website.)

    Saving it as Windows csv did it for me, thanks!
