Plugin in template

Hi,
When I use the function below, the plugin does not work, but it works fine in category pages.
$lastposts = get_posts('numberposts=3&cat=3');

Can I modify the function and write something like:
$lastposts = get_posts('numberposts=3&cat=3&order=reorderpost');
