    It also blocks Chrome 47.0.2526.111.

    Hi,

I’m unable to reproduce the issues. I use this plugin on my own website, https://darkwhispering.com/ , and the overlay is not displayed for lates version of Chrome or Safari.

Can you please turn on debug mode and post the displayed results here. Hard to do anything without that information.

    Thanks,
    M

I would be very happy indeed to find out the problem is me and not the plugin.

    user_agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_3) AppleWebKit/601.4.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0.3 Safari/601.4.4
    name: Apple Safari

    version: 9

Opera seems to be fine. IE I can’t test here myself.

    Thanks!

According to the debug data the browser versions is detected correctly. For Safari version 9 is detected, and version 48 for Chrome.

I’m also still unable to replicate this issue myself using the same versions of the browser.

I can therefor only conclude that this is a issue with your environment/setup or a conflict with another plugin/theme.
