Plugin Installs Stuck at Unpacking . . .

  • I am on a dedicated server hosting multiple WordPress sites using CPanel.
    On All My sites, I am getting error while installing or updating any plugins, themes or wordpress update.
    Everything gets stuck at below error:

    Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/post-list-featured-image.0.5.6.zip…
Unpacking the update…

    I Tried a complete new installation of wordress, but still have this error.
    I think its a serverwide php configuration error.
    I have root access to the server.

    Default PHP Version (.php files) 	5
PHP 5 Handler 	suphp
Apache suEXEC 	on
Apache Ruid2 	off

    I tried to use fCGI Handler for PHP and it changed the error to 500 Internal Server error

    Thanks in advance for trying to help me.

  • I have too sometimes (since 4.0).
    Just go back to your /plugins/ directory within your admin panel and the plugin should be installed, at least thats the case with me.

    No, Its not getting installed at all, I dont even see any errors in Log file.
