• Hello,

We’ve been experiencing some issues with our WP Dashboard (i.e. unable to toggle widgets). When we downgraded the SEO Ultimate plugin to Version 7.6.5.1 (June 03, 2014), our dashboard works fine. We can toggle items, click on “screen options” and everything works properly. However, once we upgrade to a later version, we can no longer toggle dashboard widgets nor see anything when we click on “screen options”.

In console, we are seeing this error:
bootstrap.js:1298 Uncaught Error: selector option must be specified when initializing tooltip on the window.document object!

Do you have any recommendations on what we can do to clear the conflict and to get our dashboard in working order again without having to use a downgraded version of SEO Ultimate?

    Thanks,
    Vita

Can you update to latest version (7.6.5.5) we just released and let us know if the issue is resolved?

    Thanks,

    Hi Jeffrey,

We’ve just updated the plugin. We can now hide the SEO Ultimate widget from the main dashboard, toggle widgets again, and access screen options. Also, not seeing any conflicts in console anymore. Woohoo!

However, we are still experiencing an issue with another plugin “Google Analytics Dashboard” where when we hover our cursor over a link in the real time panel, no information comes up. When we disable SEO Ultimate, the Google Analytics Dashboard widget works just fine again with the hovers.

Do you know if there’s something loading in SEO Ultimate that would cause a conflict with that specific plugin?

    Best,
    Vita

@seo-design-solutions do you really need to load the bootstrap.js in that screen? It will basically conflict everything that uses the jQuery UI Tooltips (which is a default script available in WordPress)

There are known conflicts between those two, see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13731400/jqueryui-tooltips-are-competing-with-twitter-bootstrap.

If it’s really needed, let me know, and we’ll find a solution to solve this plugin conflict.

    Hi,
it wasn’t necessary so we have excluded Bootstrap tooltips and popovers css/js and it will be in next plugin release.
