Plugin is not generating the new sequential order numbers for new order

Hello,
I installed the Sequential Order Number For WooCommerce plug in to my site today.
New orders placed through the WooCommerce checkout are not generating with the new order number formatting.
I checked the site WordPress database.
The plug-in successfully added previously existing orders to the wc_orders_meta database and created the new order number formatting for those existing orders.
New order numbers for orders placed through the WooCommerce checkout are generating as standard WordPress post ID numbers, which I can see in the WordPress posts database, but those new orders are not generating new order number formatting in the wc_orders_meta database.
My WordPress site is running version 6.3.1, WooCommerce 8.0.3 and a Storefront 1.0.0 child theme.
I don’t have any other order numbering plugins installed and I’m not using any custom code snippet or any other third-party plugin to alter the default WooCommerce order number.
