Plugin is not listed on pluging page after uploading

  • I need help please and probably missing something.
    I did not install my wordpress manually but got it done using fantastico on my cpanel which had wordpress installation already integrated in it and provided by my webhost.
    Everything works fine except plugin is not listed on pluging page after uploading it to wp_content and this mean i see no plugin to activate after uploading.

    This has been an headache since yesterday.
