Plugin is posting comments

    When I use Broken Link Checker to “Edit URL” on a specific page, I will then get some new comments on that page under my Comment Moderation panel. The “Author” is the name of one of my posts, and the comment itself is an excerpt from my post. This is super weird. I keep just trashing the comments. Does anyone know why this is happening?

    It only happens after I use Broken Link Checker to edit a URL.

    Nevermind I figured it out. I had never heard of a “self-ping” before and never had it happen until I downloaded this plugin. I’ve now installed yet another plugin, the “No Self Pings” one which will hopefully counteract it.
