Plugin is removing the target=”_blank” settings for Header links

I have set my WP Menu settings for some Header items (Shop link and all submenu links under Projects) to “Open link in new tab” but when that Menu in Elementor via the Elementor Header & Footer Builder they do no open in a new tab but in the same tab.?

Another user helped me identify that the issue is specifically that?“hfe-nav-menu” class?is removing the?target=”_blank”?attribute.

Meanwhile other links on my site have no problem opening in a new tab (i.e. the Social buttons in the upper right).

Any way to fix this?
