• I have enabled debug mode in my WordPress network and I immediately received a series of warnings that I managed to narrow to this plugin.

    It seems that it is using:

    • wpdb::escape (deprecated in 3.6.0) and
    • get_current_site_name (deprecated in 3.9.0).

    I know that this plugin is no longer required, but the counter-solution requires a clean install on a dedicated IP address — things that I can afford right now.

    Any chance for plugin update with sunrise.php not using these functions?

    but the counter-solution requires a clean install on a dedicated IP address

    Using the core mapping feature does not have any additional external requirements vs using the plugin. A dedicated IP address is preferred but not required for either method.

    Thank you, but still:

    Step 1: Create a Multisite install

    I need a solution that I can apply over existing multisite installation.
