[Plugin: IvyCat Ajax Slider] Welcome

I’ve installed the IvyCat AJAX image slider, but I can’t get it to recognize the different groups. All of the slides from another slide group are showing on my home page. Here’s the link to the page: https://sandbox3.sureleader.com

There are two groups, inside-pages and home-page. I used the php code from the example on your page and inserted my own group, but it’s taking the images from another group.

What do you think could be causing this?

Hi Amy,

That’s a good question.

Could be a few things, but I have a few questions:

1. I’m assuming the slide group you’re showing on the link above is intended to show the home-page slider group, correct?
2. How are you inserting the shortcode (WP Editor or PHP function)? Can you post the code you’re using?
3. Have you given each slide in your groups an order?
4. Have you tried changing the group’s name?
5. Can you successfully ‘call’ the <i>inside-pages</i> group into another non-home page?
6. Can you successfully ‘call’ the home-page group into another non-home page?

Let me know what you find out.

I’m happy to do some more testing and even look at your setup, if needed.

The slide group was home-page slider group, but I changed it to just ‘home’ because I wanted to simplify things. I took out the slides for the other group because I didn’t know how quickly you would respond. I will put another slide back in to test more.

I inserted the php code into my theme like this:
<div id="home-slider-wrap"><?php echo do_shortcode("[ic_do_slider quantity='4' thumb_size='large' group='home']"); ?></div>

Each slide has an order.

I have tried changing the group name. I even tried using the ID number instead, but no luck.

When I call the inside pages group into another non-home page, I get mixed images from both groups.

When I call the home group into another non-home page, I still get all of the images from both groups.

So, I’ve tested the fix and it works great, but we’re making one other little change before we commit it to the WP Plugin Repo.

Plugin is fixed, tested and pushed to the WP Plugin Repository. Make sure to upgrade to version 1.0.4 and it should fix your issues right off.

It may take several hours before you’ll be able to upgrade in place, so to fix right away, you may want to download and manually install.
