• Hi Jazzigor, first wanted to thank you for the wonderful plugin, was wishing if I had this before.

I am stuck where I would need to create/populate a drop-down menu using the value I have collected from input field earlier. Say, if I could just type {{name}} at title and value in the drop-down element, it would replace {{name}} with the actual value entered at the input on-the-fly (like how the formula output works instantly).

Wanted to know if you have way to get this done using your plugin.

    Thanks in advance!!

Hi Joe, on first sight I think your suggestion would go a bit too far. Realtime updating even of the values and titles of the user interface elements themselves – that’s weird isn’t it?

It sounds cool and would differentiate this software from others. But I’m not sure if it’s a clever move to implement it. In fact there are not many forms out there in the wild that behave like that, are they? I think most of the cases of dynamic forms can do with hiding/disable certain options.

Can you convince me with examples? (Meanwhile I’m tracking this here)

You can now (since v0.9.9) use placeholders like {{a}} and {{a+b}} in text elements (text/html/headings). The corresponding values are updated instantly (realtime). This does not include dropdown elements’ options. However, it might be considered to be a first step towards your suggestion.
