Jetpack offers a slideshow shortcode for use with slide.com, which generates slideshows. There’s nothing built-in to Jetpack that allows you to create a slideshow from your Media gallery, however.

I see slide.com no longer lets you register to create a slideshow anymore though and the link to slide from https://www.slide.com/arrange?cy=wp no longer works. So looks like slide is no longer an option for wordpress users ??

    Can you suggest anything else?

I found “slideshow” by devpress to work with the short code for this type of thing. https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/slideshow/faq/

The only downside that bothered me with this one is that it cuts off images that are too tall, showing only the top half.

I noticed nextgen doesn’t cut the images off, but unfortunately that one doesn’t use [slideshow] automatically like the first plugin I mentioned does. I’m trying to find the balance between these two factors :/

also might want to disable jetpack to make it work.

I really want to use this right because I transferred a lot of post-attached galleries from a .com site.
