• As it says on the description page that this is for comments as much as for support request, here’s a comment.

    I installed Jetpack because I needed ONE functionality: the subscribe widget.

    I saw a screen that showed me a whole slew of plugins that were activated right off the bat. Not fun. I looked at the details for each one of those, looked at the configuration screen where it was applicable. The ONE thing that I didn’t see anywhere was how to turn off the ones I did not want, which is all of them except one.

    Solution: deactivate, uninstall. Jetpack is beyond overkill when you need only one of it’s functionalities.
