  • I think this will be fixed in a future version of Jetpack. In the meantime, see https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/manual-control/

Thanks esmi – I would hope they would fix silently auto activating global contact forms that override other contacts forms and send to the site admin – immediately, not just “in the future”.

Thanks for the plug-in link – but any plugin that requires another plugin to monitor it…. sneaky indeed… ??

Yep – last I heard, they realised they’d made a boo-boo with this and would reverse it in a future release.

We are working on updates to the contact form. In the meantime, you can disable the Jetpack Contact Form by going to the Jetpack menu, click Learn More by the Contact Form card, then click Deactivate. That’ll allow you to keep using the rest of Jetpack without it interfering with your other contact form plugin.

Thanks Tim, got that information from here after I started getting emails and couldn’t figure out why. https://contactform7.com/jetpack-overrides-contact-forms/

Since JetPack seems to know my email address I’d think you’d email all users to let them know before a few million contacts forms go to the wrong people.
