This is used by the Contact Form module to store submissions that are posted to your site via those forms.

If you don’t want it, you can disable the module: On the Contact Form module, click the “Learn More” button. A “Deactivate” button will appear. Click that button and that feature will be completely deactivated.

Thanks Beau. I did not notice the Deactivate button earlier.

I love the storage of contact forms, but also just published my “feedbacks” to my RSS feed accidentally. Any way this CPT can be hardened from being accidentally published? I am sure archives are turned off for it, right?

That’s correct. Feedbacks shouldn’t be published to your RSS feed. Did you use another plugin, or did you make changes to your theme that may affect the behaviour of Custom Post Types on your site?

No, I messed up my functions.php to publish my other CPTs to my RSS feed. ??

I realized that option 1 of this brilliant tutorial probably wasn’t the best option. So I went with option 2, which fixed it.

I also found a commenter who said to filter ‘public’=>true when adding post types. That probably would hide “Feedbacks” too?

That could work, indeed. Feedbacks are set to False, so they would filtered out.
