Could you post the exact error message?

    The exact error is:

Error: Twitter did not respond. Please wait a few minutes and refresh this page.

    This was from https://www.gloriasmaplevalley.com

Sometimes there is the error. Sometimes the actual tweets appear on the page. I’ve used the twitter widget on different themes and the same problem occurs.

I am having the same issue. Previously there was no problem, then recently had the error message. So I went to the widget to check and now the message on my blog is
“Please configure your Twitter username for the Twitter Widget.”
I update with my Twitter username but never saves.

Twitter has been having some issues with access to its API over the last few days. We do not have much control over this, so sometimes you will get these errors and they will resolve over time. My apologies for the inconvenience.
