[Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com] lost my stats after plugin update

    More than a week ago, I noticed my WordPress stats have been reset and posted for help in the troubleshooting part of the forum. I haven’t received any official reply and someone suggested I post it here in the plugins forum which is why I am posting this now.

    I lost all my WordPress Stats from 2007 to present for my self-hosted WordPress website archondigital.com right after I updated the Jetpack plugin.

    Another thing, though my stats worked ok until the update, I only noticed something was wrong after checking my stats on WordPress for iOS.

    A few days after sending a support request through https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service, WordPress engineers were able to fix the problem which was caused by a duplicate installation of my blog, which was actually an archive of a previous version of my site. After turning off Jetpack on the old site and by disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack on my existing site, all the old stats were recovered.
