    Hey clavans,

You need to give each slider a different id which is a unique id on your page. Id defaults to ‘slider’. So if using a shortcode use

    html_id=”your_unique_slider_id”

or change the appropriate field in the widget.

    Hello JJCoder

    Thanks for quick reply.

I “disabled” the 2 shortcodes by changing […] to *…* so that the widget will be the only one in use. In the the appropriate widget field I tried with both HTML id = slider (default) and slider_1. Unfortunately, I still get that rotating circle.

When making the JJ NextGEN JQuery Slider Widget inactive and enabling one shortcode [jj-ngg-jquery-slider] again in the text widget, I also only get that rotating circle.

For your information, I use the Weaver theme:
    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/weaver

Could it be a conflict with another plugin, missing JQuery library or something like that?

You do have two jquery libs loading in… that maybe a problem.

    Hello

I tried on another “cleaner” WordPress installation with less plugins and now it worked:
    https://trondheiminternationalschool.org/wordpress/

When just using the default short code [jj-ngg-jquery-slider] there are some small issues. In NextGEN gallery I have 3 images with the size 600x250 pixels and these pictures are showing up in the slider with the same size, but:
    1) the black description field is 640x28 pixels, that is 40 pixels too wide sticking out on right side of the slide
    2) The numbers “1 2 3” below the slide is crashing into the text below the slide

Same thing is happening in both Firefox, Chrome and IE. Is that something that is possible to correct?

    Thanks

    Hello

Thanks for the quick update of the plugin to version 1.2.6. Problem 2 listed in previous post is gone away :), but problem 1 is still there.
    https://trondheiminternationalschool.org/wordpress/

Regarding problem 1, it looks like the container believes that the width of the picture is 40 pixels more wide than what the actual size is. Because of this also the right arrow disappears in the white background to the right of the slider.

    Thanks again!

    I did some more checking.

You do have two jquery libs loading in… that maybe a problem.

You were right, the Google Translate Widget was the problem:
    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/gtranslate/
Luckily, it had a check box option for “Load JQuery library” that I could untick, so now the slideshow manages to load properly:
    https://www.trondheiminternationalschool.org/content/

Problem 1 with the black description field seems to be that it uses full width regardless the width of the pictures.

Another small new issue is that below the slideshow it is indicating 5 pictures even though there are only 3 in the NextGen Gallery.

    Hey clavans,

To fix your caption width problem i think you need to enter a width. For shortcode this is width=”” prob want the width to be same as image width.

Not sure why you would be getting 5 imagess showing. Did you enter the gallery id with the gallery=”” params ?

Again thanks for a new version 1.2.7 of the plugin. The 2 remaining problems described above unfortunately still exist.

Addding width=”600″ in the shortcode works and forces the caption not to use the full width.

The problem with indicating 5 images instead of 3 images only appears when a shortcode [jj-ngg-jquery-slider] is used in a text widget.
    https://www.trondheiminternationalschool.org/content/
When same shortcode is used in a post or a page it works fine.

For every image that is added into the NextGen gallery the problem slider will indicate 2 more, for instance indicating 7 images instead of 4, indicating 9 images instead of 5, etc.

The widget for JJ NextGen JQuery Slider indicates always correct number.

    More testing here.

I replaced all the photos with new ones with the width of 660 pixels so it should match exactly the full width. Then the caption width do not need to be forced like before and the shortcode [jj-ngg-jquery-slider] is enough. But the number indication below is still wrong. When I try to hide it with adding controlnav=”false” it gets worse since the slider pictures move downwards. In addition the different transitions do also not work properly since it will be white background when the pictures are changing instead of fading between, see:
    https://www.trondheiminternationalschool.org/content/

On the contrary, the widget has none of these problems. I guess the shortcodes I try to use has some conflict with something else on my test site, so I will try to go for the plugin instead of the shortcodes.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help!

    Hey clavans,

It might be default settings in your theme style.css that is causing problems.

    Hey clavans,

I think I had some problems with the twenty theme with like width=”auto” and or height=”auto” on img selectors in the stylesheet maybe something similar is happening with you.

    Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as clavans had at the beginning… My picters don’t load, I can only see the icon going round.

I would like to check if my problem is that two jquery libs are loading but I don’t know how to do that ??

    My site: https://www.icedchai.com

    Could anyone help me?

    Thanks a lot!

I just tried disabling all the other plugins I have installed (only JJ NextGen JQuery Slider and NextGEN Gallery stayed on) and it’s still this same – showing the circle icon.

I assume that in this case it’s not the two libraries being loaded…

Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

    Thanks and regards

    Hi
