• I have installed the plugin and noticed on the setting page it required Google Sitemaps xml so I added and activated this plugin.

Then I created a page called Employment so I changed the url path from jobs to employment thinking it made a page put it doesn’t make a page does it? So I changed the url path back to jobs and on the employment page I made a click link to https://www.mackbrosbakerycafe.com/jobs

The other thing I noticed is it creates another blog page so now my original blog page is showing https://www.mackbrosbakerycafe.com/blog-2/

The other thing it is doing I set up the application form and choose the fields I wanted, updated it and it showed once but now when I click https://mackbrosbakerycafe.com/jobs it takes me to the default saying:
“We currently don’t have any jobs available. Please check back regularly, as we frequently post new jobs. In the mean time, you can also send through your résumé, which we’ll keep on file.

This job listing was created using Job Manager for WordPress, by Gary Pendergast.”

so what I’m asking is can it be a page without me making a link to click on and am I missing something when creating the application fields

Thank you for you help… and the plugin

  • It’s currently a bit confusing how Job Manager creates the pages – it doesn’t actually create any pages within the WordPress database, they’re all automatically generated. I’m changing this in version 0.4.0, which I’m planning on releasing in the next few days. I suspect it would be easiest if you wait until that is released, then upgrade. Also, delete the employment page before you upgrade, you’ll see a new ‘Jobs’ page appear which you can change the slug for after the upgrade.

I’m not sure how the blog page changed – Job Manager doesn’t touch that part of WordPress.

Also, you can see the application form at:
