    Hi Kate,

    Glad you like the plugin.

    The code relating to the video tag is actually legacy code, that still exists in the plugin to support users who are still using an older version of the JW Player.

    New versions of the JW Player handle HTML5 support automatically and don’t require any additional processing to be done by the WordPress plugin. That’s why the if condition checks the version and the presence of the JW embedder.

    If you have a test page where this code isn’t working, I’d be happy to take a look.
