• Hi,

    using WordPress 2.9.1, latest Version of JW Player.
    I inserted a video via Shortcode. You can start the video but after that pause-, forward- and volume-buttons are not working.
    Also when you press the stop-button, the video stops but the audio-stream continues.

    Can somebody help me with that?
    Thx

    @ib_marketing,

    Can you provide a link to an example of where this occurring?

    Thanks.

    @LongTail Video,

    thanks for your reply. Because the publication of the video was due to be done yesterday, I inserted the video via wordtube. But here is the same problem. Start-Button is working, but no other buttons. Because of that I de-activated the control panel. So the viewers can only start the movie.
    Here you can see how it works right now:

    But I would like to have a solution where all buttons are working. Another problem with inserting directly via JW-Player-Plugin was that there was no button at the Media-Library to insert the movie. If I upload a image, the button is there, but not with the .swf-files I need.

    I’m very thankful for a solution that works properly. Thnaks

    The issue here is that you’re using .swf files. These are not officially supported by the JW Player as they can contain things other than video. As a result this can lead to unpredictable behavior during playback.

    Since this file is not encoded in a standard video format the controlbar will not work correctly.

    All I can suggest is that you encode these videos as .flv or .mp4 video files.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your post,

    just another question. Is it possible to insert a border around the whole player? We tried .flv file and the controlbar works great. But we would like to have a border around the player.
    Thanks for yout tip!

    @ib_marketing,

    I’m not sure what you mean by border. Do you want a CSS border around the player?

    Thanks.

    @LongTail Video,

    yes we want a CSS border around the player. But the code must be inserted in the WordPress interface.
    Thanks
