    Apologies if this has been asked before, I looked through this forum and the FAQ’s/comments on the site but couldn’t see it (had to skim-read due to lack of time so may have missed it). I’m really impressed with this plugin but have a few issues, the most urgent of which is the following:

    Does the LG plugin have the ability to upload images from the front-end of the site or is there an additional plugin (much like the NextGen Public Upload plugin) that can allow this functionality? Basically what I’m trying to achieve is to allow members to upload photos of various events, preferably allowing them to choose which folder to upload the image to (each event has its own folder under the main folder defined under the LG settings page).

    Ideally there would be a single upload box with a button to display which of the sub-folders the image should be uploaded to.

    Thanks in advance,

    LJ

    Sorry, there is no such feature in Lazyest Gallery, and it is not on the to-do list.

    That’s a massive blow as it’s the soul reason I need an image gallery on my site, and from what I’ve read so far (both on wp.org and various other sites) there’s a fast-growing number of wordpress users who require the same functionality. It would be a really good idea to have this functionality built-in to what’s already a really good image gallery as it almost convinced me to dump NextGen altogether (which is by far the more flexible despite being more difficult & time-consuming to set-up).

    I suspect a simple upload box with a folder selection list (similar to the lists displayed in the settings of the current widgets) in the form of a widget or even shortcode is all that’s required, in fact theoretically it may be possible to place the upload box in the admin area inside its own widget, but I wouldn’t try it myself without confirmation that it works. There are standard file upload plugins but an integrated solution normally works best… ??

    Best,

    Uploading with a standard file upload plugin could work too. Lazyest Gallery has been built to suit non-admin uploads.

    I’m trying to get LG to work with the Front End Upload plugin so that it takes images from the /wp-content/uploads/iti_feu_uploads/ folder but while I can get FEU to work fine I cannot get LG to work. It looks like all I have to do is set my images folder in LG to /wp-content/uploads/iti_feu_uploads/ and all should eb rosy, but it isnt.

    Have I missed something so obvious I can;t see it or am I tilting at windmills?

    @soapboxsites
    if you upload your images to /iti_feu_uploads/, Lazyest Gallery will not show them because you have to make folders to store (upload) your images.
    Images in the root folder do not show.

    LJagermaster, you should try Photo Smash.

    Thanks for the tip, I’ll go and create subfolders and upload directly to there and see if that fixes my issues.
