• Hi there.
    Thanks for a great plugin.

I have hit a snag though in the setup.

I am running WordPress 3.3.1 on a multisite install and cannot get the links to show. I am getting “No links found.” and categories show how many links are visible, but clicking the category does not show the links.

I also tested the link loading form. I am seeing that one message needs to be moderated, but when I go to the moderated list it is empty. I tried deselecting “Keep this link private” under WordPress links, but the moderation message remains. I have also turned “Debug mode” on, but not seeing any errors.

I tried both network activating the plugin and activating site by site.

    Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of response in the last week. I was away on a business trip to Germany and did not have regular online access.

I am now back home and can look into this issue.

Thanks for experimenting and finding out that version 5.4.6 works, whole 5.4.7 does not…

What I don’t understand is why the latest version is working fine on my production server.

I have reverted all changes from 5.4.7 and released 5.4.8. For those of you waiting on the removal of debug warnings, I will get back to this cleanup in a few months when I have more time to troubleshoot problems.

Please confirm that things are back to normal with this latest version.

    Hi Yannick

I am still having a problem with receiving a link upload notification every half an hour or so. Even with the update to ver 5.4.8.

Please could direct me to which database entries need to be deleted or changed in order to fix this.

    Thanks

Hey, Yannick, thanks for putting attention to this. We all understand how it must be to devote time to this project. I just updated and I’m still receiving a “No links found.” but I’m not sure if this is due to the issue everyone else is having or just me.

I just updated to the newest version. My problem still persists; no links shown.

swampsheep, could you turn on debug mode so that I can try to see what is happening on your site?

Done. I can’t see any difference, though.

Whoah, that’s weird. I wasn’t exactly paying attention when, and I didn’t make any changes, but suddenly the links started working.

    Not sure what happened!

    Hi Yannick.

I don’t mind people hopping on to my thread to get help because we all have pretty much the same issues, but please could you answer my queries as well.

1two3, will look into the notification code tonight.

Ratspeed, perhaps you went in one of the configuration panels and re-saved your settings?

Hi 1two3, did you try unchecking the option to send you notifications when new links are submitted? “E-mail admin on link submission” under the Library Settings? Also, are you familiar enough with MySQL to check if you have any new entries that land in the links table when you get these messages?

    Hi Yannick

I looked again and “E-mail admin on link submission” is definitely unchecked.

I browsed the links in MySQL, and there are the 3 links I added, excluding the one I am currently getting email notifications for.

I’m having the same problem, my link does not appear. Any other idea?

I’m not sure what I did, but the emails have now stopped. PHEW ??

    Hi!

I had the same issue with wordpress v3.3.1 and link-library v5.4.8, no links were shown, using v5.4.6 did not make any difference either.

When I manually ran the database query the plugin does to find links, it turned out that there was the “links_extrainfo” table missing from database.

I could not make that table appear to database, just commented out link-library.php:561 (revision 523547) and the plugin seemes to be functional now ??

Hope, that helps Yannick to find the problem.
