can you provide some more info, i.e. error text etc.?

Well, I can tell you I got the same error. It just happened when trying to install through the WordPress plugin install.

Now, I’ve just tried uploading it to my server manually and it’s not showing up on the plugins page of my WordPress admin. I’m not a newbie, I’ve currently got 4 WordPress sites going with a bunch of different plugins I’ve either installed manually or through WordPress. This is just my first time with your plugin.

Does anyone know what this could be?

    Thanks!

@megami20, there has been an issue with www.ads-software.com itself recently where some plugins haven’t been installing properly when downloading automatically.

My guess is the auto-install issue is due to that, and maybe you did something wrong when manually uploading… have you tried uploading via the admin panel (i.e. downloading lwa as a zip, and uploading directly to your wp install)? I’m wondering if it’s permission problems on your server?

I’ve never gotten this error before. Does lwa require different, more specific permissions than other plugins? I didn’t see anything in the installation directions. Let me know if it does and I’ll try those.

I just tried uploading the zip directly to WP. This is the error I got:

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure

no, login with ajax doesn’t require any special permissions, just what’s needed to install a normal plugin.

weird. given that I haven’t changed versions in a few months, sounds to me like a bad zip format on wordpress’ part. I’ve had issues with the wordpress repo for another plugin too and I know this isn’t limited to these two plugins.

can you try uploading it via FTP? to do that you unzip the file on your pc and copy the folder login-with-ajax into /wp-content/plugins/ on your site.

I did that already. Remember I mentioned that in my first post when you said it must be a permissions problem on my server.

just making sure, uploading means different things to people ??

Not sure what else to say really. It works for me, just tested it. If this happens to more people I’ll look into it, but for now there’s not much I can do.

    Ok, thanks.

I just got the same error…

An error occured while updating Login With Ajax: Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure.

this seems to be a wordpress problem, I’ve written to the wp plugins team and am waiting for a reply.
