    Hello,
I just bought the plugin and I’m a little confused about the integration referenced in the documentation..

On the documentation page, it refers to Magento blocks that we’ll more than likely need for this plugin to communicate with our WP site. And provides code we can copy and paste.

Pardon the “noob”-iness of my question, but WHERE exactly are we supposed to put this code? In the page template file of our theme?

Thanks in advance for everyone’s patience.

    Hi Takiyah,

What is your ultimate goal with the plugin? Are you trying to match your WordPress and Magento themes, or would you just like to display products within your WordPress Posts/pages?

    Thanks for your reply. ??

I would just like to display products within posts and pages… and through a widget.

    Theme matching isn’t necessary.

You don’t need to worry about the blocks then, you can simply use the shortcode within any post/page, or use the widget in any active sidebar position. All instructions can be found on the shortcodes and widgets page: https://magentowp.com/add-ons/shortcodes-widgets/

    Simply paste this:

    [mwi_product sku="sku1,sku2"/]

Where you would like the products to display.

Okay, thank you for the clarification on the documentation. Blocks are used if you are trying to get the styling of Magento.

Now, with that being said…. THIS PLUGIN KICKS BUTT!!!!! IT IS AWESOME!!!

Very happy with it… and I am going to highly recommend it to anyone who is *thinking* about using it and the price is more than fair for the ease of use.

Installation takes about all of five minutes. Integration about one minute.

Plus, your response time is super fast and your customer service is top-notch (which goes a long way).

Thanks, glad you;re enjoying using it!

    Hi,

I installed the plugin via the plugin functionality inside wordpress.
Also changed the function in functions.php.

I am using a Multisite setup in wordpress. So the plugin installation must be done inside the Network Admin. This is what I did.

I also bought the shortcodes app. Now when I make a new post with [mwi_product sku=”XXXXX”/] I keep seeing that shortcode on the frontpage.

I am also using a multisite Magento installation.

WordPress is installed in the Root
    Magento is installed in /shop.

I hope someone can help me!

    Thanks!

    Hi Steefv,

Did you enter the activation code in the settings panel? This topic has been marked as resolved for the original poster, it’s easier if you make your own topic for your issue.

    Thanks,
    James

Strange I did that but the activation code was gone now… Sorry for that. I reentered the code but now I see the following error in the post:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method jck_mwi_shortcodes::curPageURL() in /public/sites/XXXXX/wp-content/plugins/magento-wordpress-integration/mwi.php on line 35

Any idea how to solve this one?

Thanks a lot for your time!!

Hmm, I’m not sure about that one – are you using the latest version of the extension?

Feel free to end an email via https://www.magentowp.com with your site logins and I can take a look for you.

    Thanks,
    James
