There seems to be a lot of things happening (and not happening) with this plugin. ??
(I’ve started another topic for the side effect problems, but getting it to work is main priority..if it’s at all possible.)

Most importantly, nothing shows up (using [gallery id="2"] or [gallery id="1"] ), despite setting 777 permissions and using the suggestions in this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-magic-gallery-cannot-get-gallery-to-display?replies=10

However, when I use [gallery id="0"], at least something shows up.
It’s not playing a slideshow or using any of the settings I saved and it displays 8 images (not sure why 8) and instead of postimages, they are crops and background images.

Finally, I’ve seen you commenting on it a few times, why did you decide not to simply use the WP library (where you can also upload images if needed)?..
You mentioned (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-magic-gallery-making-a-gallery-out-of-media-library?replies=2) it’s not the purpose of the plugin, why? It’s not really a goal, but a means, one to make the plugin work properly.

This plugins seemed good, watching the demo, but almost all WP users have their images included in their posts, before installing all kinds of plugins, and I dont see the benefit of not using the media library (together with some upload function).
I have another slider on my site and have tried a lot of sliders and most do use the media library and/or even give you the simple option of adding a variable to display all images from a certain category.

Anyway, most importantly, I hope somebody has a solution for at least getting it to wotk.
