[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] Got success message but a error too

I am getting the same error message. Using version 1.2.5

Any update on the problem?

Just to add, It seems the plugin still works. I get the email, the person can confirm and they are added to the list and I get my text message. Oh yea and if needed to know I am using it as a footer widget on the homepage.

This is something that we’re aware of and hoping to fix with the next release (which should be coming soon). Essentially, the error that you’re seeing has to do with groups, or more specifically, the lack thereof in your MailChimp list. My man MC_Van has a detailed writeup here on how to fix that issue:

Essentially, you just need to add some groups to your list in MailChimp, and then click on “update list” within your MailChimp Settings in WordPress.
