plugin makes contact form very slow

    Love the plugin. Before my contact form emails were never were guaranteed to arrive,now they always do. Problem is when you fill in contact form and press the submit button nothing can happen for about 10 seconds then you’ll get the ’email sent’ message but for a while you think its frozen and that worries me that people who use it will think it’s not working. Often while people are waiting and nothing is happening they begin to press the submit button again and again and I get loads of the same email. Any way to speed things up? Seems if I deactivate it goes back to normal but then no guarantee of me getting the email.

    I did a check with divi theme can’t say I found something wrong except no progress indicator.

    I writing an article about troubleshoot, will send a link here when i’m done.

    I had a similar issue. Look at your session transcript and search for EHLO ERROR.
    In my case this error caused some varieties of strange behaviours, including a long time to send email and finally going through.
    If you have an EHLO error in your log, it is likely this problem will be solved with the upcoming version 1.7.8.
    Alternatively you can check out the old postman and see, if there is any improvement in delivery. However I do not suggest sticking with the old version due to security risks.
    Or you could check out a Mail-Loging Plugin, which just logs sent emails.

    Just notice you are using the old Postman SMTP.
