Plugin makes posts show the wrong featured image

After I activated this plugin something strange happened on my index page (where all my recent posts are shown):
The first post is shown correctly. But all following posts do not use the right featured image. Instead the thumbnail generated by this plugin is shown from the /wp-content/uploads/image_carousel_thumbs/ folder.
When deactivating the plugin everything is fine again.
