Plugin makes WP bypass my static front page
-
A month or two ago I install The Events Calendar on a client website with great results. Recently however, rather that going to a designated “Home” static page, the root URL goes directly to the blog page. I subsequently:
-cleared .htaccess and reset permalinks (nada)
-made a home.php file (this still delivered the blog content, only in the home.php’s format)
-then thought “doy I haven’t tried disabling plugins”Sooner or later I found that it was TEC that was causing the issue. I also tested it with all other plugins disabled, to rule out conflicts – same result. I can’t imagine any instance outside of the plugin that could have spurred this, since last time I updated everything had been working fine.
I think this is great plugin, so I’d hate to have to replace it! Any help?
