    Hi,

I am currently using Mappress Pro 2.35 on WP 3.1.2 using the Studiopress Genesis child theme. The maps are rendering perfectly on all CPU browsers but seem to be buggy on some mobile browsers. I only have access to Opera 9 and the maps load but the markers are not showing up. I tested the site on the Iphone using Safari and the markers show up but are not clickable.

Something leads me to believe that this might be a hosting issue – as for now I am using Bluehost and the twitter api I use from Genesis seems to not work periodically (on the CPU), and based on my research it has been attributed to Bluehost.

Some plugins I am using that might conflict:

    AddThis
    jQuery Colorbox

Wish I had access to more mobile devices to continually test, but I don’t. Here is my site pages with map in the post and map in the sidebar widget:

If anyone has any feedback it would be greatly appreciated as I would like to finish this website structure and move on to the next phase.

Hi, if a javascript error occurs during page display it can prevent the map from rendering – even if the error isn’t from MapPress.

Or, as you mention, it could be a Bluehost issue.

One thing you might try is setting up a test site with a clean install of WordPress. On that site, disabling your other plugins and use a standard theme like “twentyten”.

That will rule out conflicts with other plugins or theme files. If you find that there are still rendering issues after doing that, let me know and I’ll see if I can replicate the problem.

Hi Chris, thanks for getting back.

I used the mappress pro plugin on a test site with another host – Hostmonster (which I think is the same as Bluehost now) and came up with the same result. I don’t get the markers showing up in Opera Mobile 9, but when I click the spot the bubble shows up with the correct information.

When I use the iPhone I get the markers showing up but I cannot click them. Is this an iPhone issue?

It is strange that everything works flawlessly on all CPU browsers but having these issues with mobile browsers.

I was just wondering what mobile phones and browsers you have tested this on? If everything is working on your end then it must either be something with my plugins or host. I deactivated several of the plugins that I thought would conflict, but still the same result.

If you could get back with some feedback, I would totally appreciate it!

    Thanks
