[Plugin: Max Image Size Control] Request: Exclude categories feature

  • Well Hiroaki, I’m amazed about this useful plugin. Thank you for this good work.

    Only mentioning a little extra feature for your consideration: the capability to exclude categories, in case of having many cats to modify, and the same time less cats to leave.

  • Thanks for this plugin! Works great.

    I found a few quirks, but I don’t think it can be helped by the plugin, but it might help others if they are having problems getting it to work.

    First, you have to enter a category or post for the settings to take hold, if you leave those fields blank the settings won’t save.

    Second, it does not affect images that have already been uploaded. It only works for images after the setting has been applied. I’m assuming this is because wordpress creates actual files of the different image sizes at time of upload.

    I added the Exclude Post ID and Category ID options. I also added a note to give attention not to make ID sections blank. I would like to add a functionality to remake image thumbnails but it may take time to do so. Let me know if you have other requests. Thanks.

    Works like a charm. Since last post I could test the plugin again and again; all fine, at least until I could see.

    I also added a note to give attention not to make ID sections blank.

    I think this issue can be solved easily including a little js alert (with only “accept” button) if that fields are empty.
