[Plugin: Media Tags] error: Media Tag not added

  • First, I LOVE this plugin; I only wish I had discovered it sooner!

    Now for the problem: In the Media Library, I can assign new or existing media tags to an image, no problem. (New media tags are created as needed.) But if I navigate to the Media/Media Tags page and try to add a new Media Tag, it always comes back with the same result and response: “Media Tag not added.”

    Likewise if I try to update an existing Media Tag, for example to change the name from “feature” to “Feature”, the result is “Media Tag not updated,” and the change is not made.

    I am using Media Tags version 2.2.9.1, and have tried this in both WordPress 2.9.2 and WordPress 3.0 with identical results.

    This isn’t a show stopper, but it would be nice to rename the tags.

    Any suggestions before I dive into the code and try to figure it out the hard way? ??

    I’m the author of the Media-Tags plugin. Thanks for the kind words. I’m aware of that exact issue and do have a fix. Look for an update this weekend. I have just one more bug to squash before I check in the new code.
