[Plugin: Media Tags] Media-Tags shortcode not working

  • I have media tags installed and it works fine. But when I put the shortcode in a page it doesn’t pull anything from the media library. When I check the page source code, it is empty where content is supposed to be even though the shortcode is in the page admin view.

    Could it be because:

    1. My site is a sub-domain or
    2. Some file permissions is set up wrong?

    How about we start with what your shortcode looks like. Can you past it here?

    [media-tags media_tags=”hdb-2″] is the shortcode I used on a page, where the media-tag is “hdb” but the slug is “hdb-2″. Initially I defined the shortcode as [media-tags media_tags=”hdb”] and it didn’t work, but after changing it to the slug it did, but gave me a list of the images in their original sizes. I need them to display in thumbnails.

    Also, when I use the URL for the page itself (i.e. https://www.renaissance.sg/interiorsearch/media-tags/hdb-2), I get a 404 not found error.

    Have I misunderstood your instructions on the help page on how to generate the front-end page? I’ll leave the page on for a day for you to view…

    I’ve just tried adding the tag “hdb” to the menu, and it appears nicely and directs me to this page when I click on it: https://www.renaissance.sg/interiorsearch/?media-tags=hdb-2

    It retrieves the post attachment archives quite nicely, but is there anyway it can show the images as a thumbnail gallery instead of individual post attachments in a post archive when you use the media-tag as a menu navigation button this way?
