• It all looks good at the beginning, the installation is easy, setting levels too, and the registration works.

But when users subscribe with recurring payments, these are not handled well by the system. The expiry date gets not updated. Which means you need to go in and update manually.

Then if you wish to signal this, the WPMU DEV support forum is closed for free users. So no support for free users?

Then if you think to become a paid member at WPMU DEV, they only have memberships for the whole bunch of 300+ plugins and themes for $79 a month.

  • Is the value missing for both the paid and Free user?

From the dashboard; the expiry date value is missing for free users. For paid users it is filled out, but does not get updated when a second of next recurring payment is made. It keeps the original value even after new payment.

From the database; there are no records for free users in the m_membership_relationships table. There are records for paid users with expiry dates that do not get updated automatically. This is what I update manually when a recurring payment is made.

    routexl,

The Free members will not have an expire date if they do not pass through a gateway, you cannot expire Free.

As for the paid, does the record reset once the expire date has passed? It should do so then, not when the user upgrades or makes a payment. If they are using PayPal and first time payment PayPal may actually be a bit slow on the payment as well.

    Best,

    Kimberly
