Plugin messing up social media icons

At the bottom of the page, before the portfolio has loaded, the social media icons look fine. But once Visual Portfolio loads, they switch to (!) icons. I read in another post that I need to do something with this to fix it:

Could someone help me understand step by step exactly what I need to do?
