[Plugin: Meta Keywords & Description] Apostrophes in meta description

Version 0.8 of the plugin (and previous) is escaping quotes in meta descriptions with backslashes, resulting in wonky descriptions. Can the next version leverage stripslashes() in the excerpt_meta_description() function to allow apostrophes?
