[Plugin: Meteor Slides] Add new slide page stopped after installing EasyRotator plugin

Initially when I installed the plugin, I was able to add slides no problem. I was having trouble where after installing this plugin, when I click and click “Set featured image” instead of the lightbox effect, it forward navigates me to a page like I clicked a normal web link, showing the media window as a full page (as oppose to the normal admin lightbox it would have shown me).
I can upload on this page, hit use as featured image, but now there is no way to close that window and return to the add new slide page without hitting the back button. Of course, when you do that, the image is not set as the featured image, thus I cannot add new slides.
I disabled the easy rotator plugin and it went back to normal. So while my issue is resolved, I am hoping to try and figure out why these 2 plugins seem to be conflicting with each other. I was liking the EasyRotator plugin but its not in use yet, thus I can easily drop it for another gallery plugin. Ideally though I would like to figure out the source of this plugin conflict because I did want to use it.
