    JLeuze,

I’m really excited to use this plugin! I watched all the videos and noticed that users must set the dimensions and in your slide show, you used identical sizes for all images.

I have various images with different sizes (although similar) – can I use this plugin with various image sizes in one slide show?

    Thanks in advance!

I’m hoping I would set the maximum slide show size for each slide show and then all images for the slideshow would then be sized to that maximum in the settings or smaller.

Oh, and if this is possible, how will the slideshow border adjust to the various image sizes?

    ….hope all that makes sense.

Hi, I’m glad my plugin has you excited!

You don’t have to set the dimensions in each slideshow, that is only if each slideshow is going to be a different size. If all your slideshows will have the same dimensions, you only need to set them on the options page.

The plugin is optimized for uniformly sized slides, but you don’t have to do this, they can be any size you want. The only catch is that any slides larger than the slideshow dimensions will be cropped to fit. So as long as it is sized to fit your largest slide, you’ll be OK.

This works best if the slide sizes are pretty close, like a collection of photos with a mix of portrait and landscape images. Any slides that are smaller than the slideshow will be centered horizontally and aligned to the top vertically.

If you want to have a border around the slideshow, but have it fit different sized images, I would suggest adding the border to the images themselves rather than the slides or slideshow.

    Sweet!

So if the slideshow is say 600 wide x 400 tall and I have some vertical slides only 500 wide, how will the extra 100 pixels display (black background, white, transparent)?

Or are you saying I shouldn’t even set a slideshow dimensions if I all images will fit within 600 x 400?

The slideshow doesn’t have a background, it is transparent so you will see whatever is behind that slideshow.

You will need to set the slide dimensions to 600×400 in the slideshow settings, but you won’t need to specify that again when you add the slideshow to your site using the template tag or shortcode.

    JLeuze, This is great…
    Simply great…
I just love it, the way the things with the slideshow are so simple, that even a naive person fiddling with WP and your plugin would find no problem at all…

    Very nice creation…

    Hats off to you…
