[Plugin: Meteor Slides] Slide Captions Global On Off?

    Hi,
    I’m trying to figure out a global control for Captions. I tried to remove the line <p><?php the_title(); ?></p>
    but it seems it is being used for the page title.

    The client wants the captions removed. Is there a global control to turn captions on or off? The above line isn’t being used by Meteor Slides. And removing the <p><?php the_title(); ?></p> just removes the page title.

    The only way I could remove captions from the home page was to remove the slide title from the slides.

    Hi, are you trying to remove the title tag that appears when you hover over the slides, like, “sound3”, etc?

    If you add captions, like <p><?php the_title(); ?></p> to the slideshow template, that adds the slide title over the slide image.

    To remove the title tags follow the instructions in this post.

    Hi JLeize,
    I mean the captions that cross dissolve with the image at the bottom. At this point I don’t care about the tags that come up with a hover.

    The client changed his mind and doesn’t want them. I am hoping there is a global way to deal with them – turn them on , turn them off.

    Did you just customize the slideshow template to add captions? If you aren’t using it for anything else, you could delete the template from your theme and Meteor Slides will switch back to the default template which doesn’t have captions.

    Hi Josh,
    I don’t remember what I did to get the captions to show but I did delete the template from my theme and it isn’t showing captions.
