Plugin mostly works, support is terrible

I bought the pro version for $49. I installed it and at first it wasn’t actually attaching any files to my products. I contacted support and Jitendra the developer had to update the plugin to make it work. I then asked for an option to remove the “No attachments… yet!” line of text from the email receipts. I was told to pay up for it. I’m not a coder but figured it out myself digging through their files and removed two simple lines of code. Even just some direction to do it myself would have been sufficient. I have been working with WordPress plugin developers for 6 years and have never been asked to pay for a such a simple change. I am very disappointed with the support from this plugin developer and will not be purchasing any of their other plugins.
